FREE Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides in downtown Greenville this holiday season! On September 7th, Main Street Greenville started a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to bring free horse-drawn carriage rides to downtown Greenville over the holiday season. In 2007, Main Street Greenville created the Adopt-A-Box Flower Program in downtown Greenville. Since then, more than 70 flower boxes and pots are funded and planted each Spring by individuals and businesses located in the community. Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall, a historic Darke County treasure opened in 1912, has recently undergone an extensive interior renovation funded by a grant overseen by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. We have received an overwhelming number of questions concerning Ted Grote's portraits. Please read and share! We will hold 2 additional public portrait sales. They will both take place during our Food Truck Rally events. The dates are June 14th and July 12th from 4:30-8 pm in the parking lot of 120 W. 3rd St. At this time, we are NOT scheduling private viewings of the photos. We are all volunteers helping Ted with this process and due to the demand, we are unable to do that.
During the National Main Street Conference, I had the absolute pleasure of getting a first look at the documentary created by Notice Films titled - Urban Century: America's Return to Main Street.
