The Main Street Greenville Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that April Brubaker has been appointed as its new Executive Director. An experienced leader, Brubaker assumed responsibilities last week following the mutual decision to separate Main Street Greenville and the Darke County Visitor’s Bureau. Previous director Greg Billing will continue to serve as the Executive Director of the Visitor’s Bureau.
Brubaker brings more than a decade of experience working in nonprofit organizations, including the Light Foundation, The Noble Circle Project, and The United States Navy Cruisers Sailors Association. Her passion, creativity and organization stood out in furthering the revised mission of building community downtown.
“Hiring Brubaker is a win-win for both the City of Greenville and Main Street Greenville and we would like to thank the City for their generosity and efforts in making it a priority to maintain the velocity of downtown,” said Kristina Heath, Vice President. “We look forward to working together with Brubaker to grow downtown. We are so lucky to have Brubaker on our team, we know she will continue to be a great leader in our community.”
Brubaker will manage day-to-day operations, as well as coordinate volunteers, lead fundraising efforts, and assist with marketing, promotions, and events. She stated, “As a native of Darke County I am honored to continue to serve the community that I so deeply love! I’m looking forward to working with the interactive board of directors, volunteers, downtown business owners, and the City of Greenville to help strengthen the unique shopping opportunities and family fun events available downtown. I’m no stranger here and have built a lot of relationships previously and am eager to foster both old and new.”
Main Street Greenville’s next event will take place on Friday, March 3rd, and is entitled “Eat, Drink, and be Irish!”. Participating downtown businesses will extend their operation hours to embrace the evening’s atmosphere, making for a unique shopping experience for all. They are located in The Welcome Center at 421 South Broadway in Greenville, and during your next stop be sure to welcome our new director.
“The Board of Trustees are very excited to see April get started. We feel as if we have created a lot of momentum under our previous director (Billing), and that April is the right person to carry on our agenda moving forward. Downtown is an exciting place to be, and her personality lends perfectly to that,” stated Chad Henry, Board President.

I read your post about Main Street Greenville hiring and how you laid out the roles clearly for anyone looking for work. When I was drowning in school last term I even had to do my Statistics class late at night so I could keep up with deadlines and still check job posts like this that give real opportunities. Your article reminded me that finding work and finishing school both take patience and effort.
It’s so exciting to see Main Street Greenville expanding their team, as this community always feels so vibrant and welcoming! I remember applying for a local position similar to this a few years back while I was still finishing up my degree, and the scheduling was a nightmare. I was so worried about missing my final assessments during the onboarding process that I actually looked into online exam takers just to ensure I could commit fully to the new job without my grades suffering. It’s definitely a challenge to balance career growth with education, but finding the right support makes such a difference when you’re trying to build a future in a town you love!
I enjoyed reading your post about Main Street Greenville hiring and how it shows the work going into strengthening the heart of your town and building community downtown. When I was writing a long school research project I used Academic manuscript editing help because my first draft had messy parts and I needed to fix my ideas so my teacher could clearly follow them. Your article reminded me that careful work and clear words help make good plans happen.
I read your comment on the Main Street Greenville hiring post and it helped me see how the organization supports downtown growth by bringing in leaders and volunteers to steer events, beautification, and small business support that make the community feel alive and welcoming. Last term when I had a heavy workload and deadlines I used MBA exam help online tools so I could stay focused on study and still keep up with real-world news like this, and reading about local opportunities like hiring reminded me how important good teams and support networks are in both work and academic life.
I read the post and it looks like the link actually shows an older announcement about a new executive director being hired at Main Street Greenville and not a current job listing. They talked about leadership and support for downtown community work which helps local events and programs. I once had a big deadline and relied on a time when I had to do my assignment for me in my head because I was juggling so much school work at once, and that feeling reminded me of how hard it can be to find the right help and opportunity. It made me think that having clear steps and support makes tackling big goals feel more possible.
