June First Friday to Feature Petting Zoo & Local Charities

Enjoy the fun of the farm in a beautiful downtown setting and learn how you can get connected to your community at Main Street Greenville's June First Friday event! First Friday: Volunteer Fair & Petting Zoo is scheduled for Friday, June 7th from 6-9 pm in downtown Greenville. ​ During the event, there will be a small petting zoo in front of the courthouse provided by Idle-Hour Ranch. Great Art Makes a Great Community

Main Street Greenville’s First Friday event will once again feature the Artisan Stroll! The goal of this event is to create a temporary “gallery” throughout our historic downtown district as well as curate interactive experiences to foster community involvement and support of the arts. The event will take place on Friday, August 2nd from 6:00 - 9:00 pm in the downtown district. The committee is looking for artisans and crafters to display, demonstrate, and sell their work at this interactive event designed to promote the local art community. Volunteer Opportunity in Downtown Greenville!

In 2007, Main Street Greenville created the Adopt-A-Box Flower Program in downtown Greenville. Since then, more than 70 flower boxes and pots are funded and planted each Spring by individuals and businesses located in the community. This year’s Downtown Planting Day will be held on Saturday, May 25th from 8:00 - 11:00 am. During this time, a group of volunteers gather downtown to plant the flowers along South Broadway.
