Board Development Seminar

Yesterday, we attended an excellent seminar on non-profit board development by Marc Smiley. Great information! Our board members are all volunteers who care about our downtown district. I truly appreciated two of my board members who took the time to attend the board development training with me yesterday. Thank you to Betty Birt and Travis Fliehman! Also, thank you to Heritage Ohio for hosting the seminar! #education #volunteers

Ted Grote Portrait Sales

We have received an overwhelming number of questions concerning Ted Grote's portraits. Please read and share! We will hold 2 additional public portrait sales. They will both take place during our Food Truck Rally events. The dates are June 14th and July 12th from 4:30-8 pm in the parking lot of 120 W. 3rd St. At this time, we are NOT scheduling private viewings of the photos. We are all volunteers helping Ted with this process and due to the demand, we are unable to do that. Our goal is to use the food truck rallies to get as many portraits in the hands of those who want them. We sincerely appreciate everyone's understanding. #news

The Flowers Are Here!

This Saturday, over 70 different planting areas were filled with beautiful flowers! Thank you to all of the awesome volunteers for helping us with this giant task (even in the rain)! This program would not be possible without all of the donations from those in the community and the assistance from volunteers. We would like to thank CMA Church and First Heavy Metal Church of Christ for sending groups of folks to volunteer! Thank you to BASF for their sponsorship of this program - and for sending some helpful hands to assist with the planting! Thank you to Greenville Lowe's for donating mulch! Thank you to the City of Greenville Street Department for all of the hard work placing the flower pot

May's Food Truck Rally = Success!

Over 1,500 people attended our Food Truck Rally event this evening! What a fun night! The amount of folks who attended to search through Ted Grote's portraits was AMAZING. Didn't have a chance to look through them tonight? No worries! We have 2 additional Food Truck dates and they will be available at that time - June 14th and July 12th (both from 4:30 - 8 pm, same location). It was so fun to watch everyone experience different emotions when searching through the images. Very similiar to the thoughts all of our volunteers had when helping him move out of his building...pretty amazing stuff. We can't wait to show Ted some of these photos from the event. I know it will make him so happy. As fa

Adopt-A-Box Downtown Planting Day!

The Adopt-A-Box Flower Program was created to increase community pride and provide a vibrant and colorful atmosphere. “The flowers add so much curb appeal to the downtown district. We receive compliments on them all season long,” said Amber Garrett, Executive Director of Mai
