Tell Us Your Thoughts!

Main Street Greenville is conducting a Resident Survey! We would love to collect 500 surveys from Darke County residents. The information collected will give us an idea of what YOU would like to see downtown Greenville. Main Street Greenville does not have any control over who decides to start a business or the types of businesses that open in the downtown area, but having this information will help. We will use it to inform current downtown businesses and reach out to specific businesses or entrepreneurs in the area based upon the type of things our residents would like to see downtown Greenville. We look forward to hearing everyone's ideas and hope you will help us with this project! T

Temporary Art Installation - Call for Local Artists!

Hey! It's Jennifer Murray, the current intern for Main Street Greenville! I am working on an exciting, creative project for this August's First Friday. The project consists of a downtown temporary art installation that coincides with the theme of "A Beautiful Moment Has Happened Here." The purpose of this art installation is to remind us of all the moments that have made downtown great. So this post is a CALL FOR ALL LOCAL ARTISTS who would like to participate. Send us an email at agarrett@mainstreetgreenville.org or call the office at 937.548.4998 (before Monday, July 7th) if you would like to receive more information or ask any questions! I'm excited to see just how creative we can get!

June First Friday Fun!

I know I sound like a broken record in my posts following First Fridays, but I can't help it! If you have attended any of our First Fridays, you know why. Downtown Greenville was packed with people of all ages from all over Darke County and beyond! An estimated 1,500 people joined us for this event. We hope when you view these photos, you can see why First Fridays are so important to our community. The amount of hometown pride I have following a First Friday event is immeasurable and I truly hope you feel the same way. Notice the friends, families, and neighbors socializing and smiling. Notice the gorgeous historic buildings and the way the sunlight reflects for a perfect backdrop. Notice

Main Street Greenville promotes historic preservation and economic development, resulting in a cultural downtown district that attracts and retains businesses and entrepreneurs, making downtown a desirable destination.
